In the beautiful Jurassic area of south-central Poland, the Modern Media Institute (MMI) is developing a permanent facility while at the same time bringing back to life one of Poland's most beautiful historical relics, the park and palace at Naklo, an estate which dates to the late 18th century.
As the process of transforming the palace for educational purposes unfolds - with completion and formal opening planned for spring 2007 - MMI continues to engage in off-site activities dedicated to the advancement of independent media by inspiring journalists and media business leaders across New Europe and the former states of the Soviet Union (FSU).
